Bead Road Trips Can't Post

I used to love bead road trips when I had more time on my hands. We lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a period of time, home of 8 bead stores. That's certainly worth a trip. :-) Also, if you're ever in the Roanoke, Virginia area, be sure to visit our giant bead store in the historic marketplace area. Keep on beading. :-)

Bead road trips are not uncommon.

People drive as much as 4 hours on a regular basis to come to our shop.

I was considering a billboard on the turnpike heading in from Philly, but can't justify it to my partners. There were some lower-cost options, but still, 90% of people find us on the Internet (or internet phone books).

We are a well kept secret. We are the largest store in the Pittsburgh area, with the largest selection, and no one (well almost) knows we are here. People go into bead-shock when they come into the store for the first time. Unfortunately the coffee shop under us moved, so we can't send them out for a coffee break any more :)

I'm working on getting some images of the beads and gemstone carvings and pendents we have up, so people have a reason to travel ;)
