Holiday Bead Exchange? Can't Post

Would you like to set up a bead exchange for the beginning of december?

A really big, "meetup" type exchange?

You can bring your tired old beads, and trade them for new exciting beads, with others and us. The rules of the standard exchanges apply, your beads have to be nice, good, beads, that would be useful to someone else. You just are tired of them, of they are the wrong color, shape or size for you. Or they are extras.

With money being tight this year, recycling your bead stash is a good way to not only spark your creativity, but to come up with the materials for gifts without digging into your pocket.

If you are switching interests from some other craft to beading, we are also interested in trading/swapping for scrapbooking supplies, polymer clay supplies, dollhouse and model railroad supplies and wood and plastic model kits of certain types. So, there are other ways to get new beads.

Let me know. The holidays are coming faster and faster, and we are going to be closed a portion of next week for tanksgiving and family obligations, so the first weekend in December is the first open slot for an exchange, unless you want to have one during the week, like on a Tuesday or Thursday.

This was posted to the meetup board system, and I thought I'd move it here as well.

What time would be better for everyone for a bead meetup?

What about a 3pm to 7pm time range? The goal is for people to be able to meetup, hook up and exchange beads, so you need to sort of all agree on a time range, but if some people can come early, and some late, then setting up a block of time is better.

Also, if YOU ALL WANT IT... we can do an early morning exchange at 10am, for example.

*PLEASE* get back to me ASAP so I can set up/adjust the times with enough warning/notice for everyone.

A bead exchange would be a great way to get you going in the final weeks of holiday gift making.

Also, we *CAN* set up classes, workshops, and anything else you want to do.

We can make a tentative schedule, but YOU ALL have to be able to show up, and participate, or it's sort of pointless :)

What do you want, what do you need, what would you like??
