What's New -- Update for the end of summer. Can't Post

Well, I can't belive how busy the summer was. Seems I haven't stopped moving, or even noticed how fast it was passing. A couple of weeks ago, I had a near-death experience, and it's made me reevaluate some of the things going on. You hear it as a cliche, but something happens when you stop breathing, and your concious and unconcious brains start fighting each other for dominance. My only thought, was "Don't panic, or you are going to die." It's funny how something can imprint so loudly and clearly in a moment when utter confusion should be reigning. Actually, I had two thoughts. That one, and "I'm not going to get my Beadwork article submitted!" Funny how that goes.

But, the offshoot of this was -- despite a couple of weeks of nasty recovery -- that some things are much clearer.

1) Our shop is very ecclectic and in need of more organization between the various crafts

2) We need to get the back room cleared out and ready for classes several times a day

3) I really need to finish that article.

Well, #3 was accomplished this past weekend, and #'s1 and 2 are in progress. Hopefully the classroom will be open by fall, once school starts.

We have *LOADS* of new stuff in! More magnetic hematite (synthetic or whatever you call it -- iron ore is iron ore <G>). We have great agates, translucent beads, and colored items. You won't believe some of the colors! They are going fast!

Also, new medium grade crystals, from arkansas -- actually, from an old collection. Great stuff. Larger sizes, 2 to five to the pound. Average price is about $12-20 each piece. Going fast! If you've been looking for a crystal, now would be the time!

Donuts! We've been asked for Donuts, and we've got them. A new supply of agates, moss agate, sandstone and calcite. Some others as well. We've found out that quilters use them for seam basters or smoothers, and a decorative pendent can double as a functional quilters tool.

Much more!

Macrame class this Saturday at 10am. *PLEASE* let us know if you are coming.
