New Shipments Can't Post

Many customer orders arrived today.

We are waiting for another 200lbs of polished stone, and 100 pounds of rough. Should be in Friday or Tuesday.

We have gotten in some nice odd beads, large sizes, some of the new "chalk turquoise" (remember, it's man made, not real, no matter what anyone tells you -- just like "cherry quartz").

We have a few pietersite briolet type cuts. Strands are mixed grade, but we'll be cutting them up and selling them individually by grade. They make nice accent or center pieces used 1, 3, or 5 at a time, or earrings.

We've gotten in some very nice materials, some of which are going fast (some are gone!).

The go-go style donuts were a hit, and even caused a backwards interest in the millifiori go-gos we got in before Christmas, that no one seemed interested in.

Coral has been a big seller this week, I mean *BIG*. We sold out of several styles, and shapes, mostly of the red (dyed sponge or bamboo coral), but some salmon. All red coral is dyed -- no matter what the merchants say. The only red coral that isn't, is a protected species, and is *very* expensive. Small (4-5mm) strands go for upwards of $80 wholesale. So, that $10 or $20 or even $40 super-chunk red coral strand is dyed.

We've gotten in some "natura" bamboo and spong corals, which are a ruddy to brownish red.

We also have some bleached/natural bamboo corals, which are a beige to off-white, and which have gotton some interest. It's unusual, since these pieces are almost always dyed red, not left alone.

Our crow beads are popular, and we have a good price on them. They are essentially glass pony beads, with a large hole, so they go on the 1mm and 2mm cords, and they are used extensively in knotting, macrame and in simple accents to the black cord+donut style.

Oh! We still have some small polished slabettes for those who want to bead around a "natural" shape rather than a polished cabochon. I haven't run the tumbler this week, so nothing new is going to be avaliable next week. Been down with the flu, and have not had the energy to tumble.

Oh #2! We had a mention in Monday's Post Gazette

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05087/478590.stm

We have some of the wood turnings available, as well as another local crafters wood and bone pens.

Great gifts for grads, dads, and that special someone.
