I'm working on a script to allow people to set up store fronts via Amazon, for their sites, like for books, dvds, cds, etc.
The first versions are being tested on http://betterbeads.com in the Reference/Books area.
Last night I did an import of the beading books I found on various searches, and set up thumbnails.
I hope to have ratings/reviews, descriptions, and access to Amazons reviews working by today or tomorrow.
You'll be able to rate/review and share your feelings and opinions about books and such. Your reviews will be on these sites, not on Amazon, and you won't be lost in background noise there. You'll be able to manage, and update your reviews through our system, and get feedback on them, and more.
We'll also be working on the wishlist features, and give options for having your wishlist stored locally, or added to Amazon.
While Amazon provides the backend sales, and basic data, many sites have enhanced data -- especially on fan sites -- that goes much further into detail. This program is designed to let those sites manage and deal with that data + the amazon sales in a easier format.
You all are the guinea pigs :) The software running here will always be a bit ahead of what is released, and potentially a bit buggy, but the features will be worth it :)
