http://beadiecritters.com is open, and there are a lot of patterns there.
Just a reminder....
It also needs a lot of TLC and editor help!
We need a few people willing to sort through the pattern pages, and feed them into the database site. A lot of cut/paste can be done, but clearing up the pattern instructions, separating out the materials needed (eg: number of red, blue, green beads, etc), will take a bit of time.
If we can find some editors to help out, the site can accept new uploads, comments, user pictures, reviews of each pattern, etc.
It's a *free* site, will always be free, so we can't offer much more than a pat on the back, a thank you page, and such. But, the site gets a lot of traffic, and that will inevitably go up once the database allows for searches and easier browsing, so there can be a lot of exposure, and maybe even bead gifts for helping out. I don't want to bribe people, I want to find some people who want to do this because it feels good :) It's a great kids site, and will be part of the PUGDOG Kids network, that will include other beading/craft sites, as well as sites like B4UDate.com (I have pre-teen/teen girls), SafeSitters.com, and a few other Teen/Tween sites.
I've always wanted to create a "teen" hang out like there used to be. Can't afford it in the real world without big backers, but on-line, I can create *FREE* sites that offer information, fun, creativity, and more, without tie ins to TV, Movies, Video games, and commercial "BUY" mentality.
Sure, we'll have some ads on the site, bills need to be paid some how (and it helps visibility too), but we will do our best to keep them "crafty", "educational" and directly related to the information being offered on the sites.
