Has anyone been watching the DIY Network's "Jewelry Making" series, hosted by jackie Guerra?
DIY Network "Jewelry Making", etc.
Right now they are in a cycle of reruns (they are all reruns at the moment, but the current shows ran within the past month already).
Some of the ideas are interesting, others are sort of way out, and well, Jackie is an interesting hostess :)
The shows seem to skim the current "trends" in jewelry making, more like what is going on in the beading magazines, or even scrapbooking magazines, than what people seem to be doing or wearing around here -- but -- the techniques on many of the projects are interesting to try.
The jewelry making projects are not that well organized on the website, (though the scrapbooking ones are all in PDF format), and it's been fun seeing how many "new" things on the show are really "old" things I've done for years, or years ago, or which have been done for longer than anyone's been tracking.
As far as "new" goes, there really isn't anything new under the sun, but there are some interesting twists on the old :)
