Advertising and Marketing Can't Post

We see it everywhere.

We know it's important, to "Sell yourself."

But we always seem to put it off to the last minute. Or put it off completely.

I've been violating some of the major marketing rules of sales lately, and I have to bring things back in line. People should never leave your booth or shop, or party or even a discussion about your work, empty handed. A crisp business card (meaning it was in some sort of case), a flier or similar needs to be in their hand.

You should have one general promotional flier, and several smaller ones targted to your various specific products, items, or special services.

"Getting the word out" is prime importance.

Presenting an image for your products is also important. How do they stand on their own merit, and if there is a lot of similar stuff, how they are different. Highlight the important, or better points of your work. If you double crimp, and hide the edges inside a bead, then say so, and something like "... it adds style to the finished appearance, while increasing strength and durability for everyday wear."

Don't sell yourself short, but don't "hype" it up either. People can read through the hype, and while adding some excitment to your fliers and promotions is OK, in the end, it's the quality or desirability of your product that will bring them in, or bring them back.

That is what you need to stress, and promote.

Conventional advertising no longer justifies the cost for itself. People are used to it as white noise. The most relevant direction now is digital marketing. The fact is that online sales come out on top in terms of demand and profitability. This is why the profession of a marketer is in-demand online now. Indeed, the concept of 'selling yourself' resonates in various aspects of life. Whether it's running a business, participating in an event, or engaging in a conversation about your work, presenting yourself effectively is paramount. And one of the most valuable tools in this endeavor is a well-designed marketing strategy.
You've pointed out some essential marketing rules, and I couldn't agree more. Providing something tangible, like a crisp business card or a well-crafted promotional flier, leaves a lasting impression on potential customers. It's a tangible representation of your brand and a way for people to remember and reach out to you in the future.
Diversifying your promotional materials is a smart move as well. Having a general promotional flier to introduce your overall brand, along with smaller, targeted ones for specific products or services, allows you to cater to various audiences and needs. This approach enables you to highlight the unique qualities and benefits of each offering, making it easier for customers to understand how your products or services stand out from the competition.
The crux of any marketing effort lies in 'getting the word out.' Without effective promotion, even the best products or services might remain unnoticed. Hence, it's essential to create a compelling narrative around your offerings, emphasizing their strengths and distinct features. Honesty is vital in marketing, and while some excitement is acceptable, honesty builds trust with your audience.
I noticed you mentioned 'automated data enrichment' as a keyword you'd like to include. If your business deals with data enrichment services, make sure to emphasize its importance in your marketing materials. Explain how it can benefit potential customers and set your services apart from others in the market.
