Kids have always liked bright colors, funky color combinations, and large-hole beads on knotted cords.
The pony bead craze still goes on, from simple crafting to making real wearable or functional art.
Beads and a piece of cord make great zipper pulls, school spirit badges, and more.
Crow beads, a little smaller than pony beads, and made out of glass or gemstone (rock), are decorative accents, and can dress up a simple black cord in stunning ways.
They also go great with macrame, and are better suited for bracelets and jewelry than the plastic pony beads. Boys and girls alike are making and wearing bracelets, necklaces and other decorations on their clothing made from cord, hemp and glass beads.
All kids need is the space to work (a table) and the cord and beads. A few simple idea pictures, and they are off and running on their own creativity.
